Malomo Expects TEAP Reaction
Published: February 18, 2014
Donald Malomo expects a reaction from his TEAP side when they face Mighty Jets on Saturday after the Nigeria National League week 1 match against DSS was postponed due to some technical issues on the part of the hosts.
“I’m very disappointed. We went there with a game plan. I am looking forward to Monday’s training and motivate my boys for the match against Mighty Jets.”
TEAP’s next opponents, Mighty Jets dismissed Spotlights 3 - 0 at Rwang Pam Stadium on Saturday, but the coach was quick to hail the Plateau funded team.
“The team that scores three goals can do more. I'm going to get some match reports and try to be on top of Jets.
“We must stay tight, concentrate for 90 minutes, no home advantage.
“I'm looking forward, it’s quite exciting playing against an attacking side.
“We train on Old Parade Ground, it will give us a slight advantage. In all I can’t wait to kick-start the season.”
Plateau United were well supported by over 300 fans in Sunday’s match against Nigeria Prison FC at Area 10, a situation the former Irish based tactician acknowledged.
“Teams like United and Jets are household names. That is what I expect.
“Most of my players were here (Old Parade Ground) and they know what to expect. We are going to prepare. I can’t wait,” he said with a smile.
