Published: February 01, 2014TEAP FC took a huge step to the new Nigeria National League season with a 8-1 demolition of Future Stars on Friday at Area 3, Abuja.
Abubakar Abdulrahman and Afolabi Stephen both scored two goals each, while Peter Hananiah, Chibuike Chimezie, Kapgat Andrew and Kelechi Edenji saw the Donald Malomo boys earning a well deserved victory.
The starting line up was altered as Emeka Uzor and Ike Dike both missed the game through injuries.
Team captain Ik Uzor also dropped to the bench alongside Kunle Adeyemo, Onyebuchi Chukwu and Saviour Francis.
As early as the 3rd minute a dangerous cross by petit Mubarak Saidu found former FC Abuja winger, Abubakar Abdulrahman who netted for TEAP.
Two minutes later Tunde Adams combined with Kapgat Andrew and the bulky forward set up Abubakar for the game's second goal.
Afolabi Stephen helped himself with two goals from the bench, with young forward Kelechi Edenji wrapping up a ruthless game.
Meanwhile, Kapgat Andrew has showered praises on his team-mates for a great game played against Future Stars.
