Nigeria Drops Four Places In Latest Fifa Ranking
Published: January 16, 2014On Thursday morning, the official website of Fifa published the latest ranking of National Teams.
Compared to last month’s ranking where they were placed 37th in the world, the Super Eagles have dropped four positions and are now ranked 41st.
Nigeria’s ranking in Africa also took a nosedive after falling three places to the number 7 position behind Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria, Egypt, Cape Verde and Mali.
Spain, Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Portugal are the top five teams in the world in that order.
World Cup opponents Bosnia and Iran are rated 19th and 34th respectively.
The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on 13th February, 2014.
