Godfrey Oboabona Backs Nigeria To Beat Mozambique
Published: January 15, 2014Ahead of the Super Eagles clash with Mozambique in the second round of matches in Group A at the ongoing African Championship, Rizespor defender Godfrey Oboabona has backed Nigeria to defeat their opponents.
Destiny will no longer be in the hands of Stephen Keshi’s charges if they fail to get the maximum points on offer having lost their opener against the Eagles of Mali.
“Firstly we have to thank God for the game with Mali, it was a narrow loss.
“I believe we are going to win today against Mozambique.
“We just have to take it easy and play our own style. All I pray for is victory,” Godfrey Oboabona said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 23 - year - old stopper was part of the domestic Eagles before his transfer to Turkish Super League side Rizespor last summer.
Today’s fixture between Nigeria and Mozambique will be staged in Cape Town. Kick off is 1900 hours.
