Sam Allardyce Plays Down Obafemi Martins West Ham Link
Published: December 13, 2013West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has played down reports linking Obafemi Martins with a return to the Premier League specifically West Ham.
It is common knowledge that the Hammers are in the market for offensive reinforcements when the market opens in the next couple of weeks and speculation had earlier linked the Londoners with the Nigeria international.
“I haven’t heard anything about Oba. He’s playing in America at the moment.
“Everyone knows if we’re in the market for a player, we'll be linked with everybody. We’ll deal with that - speculation is speculation,”Allardyce was quoted as saying by the electronic edition of Sky Sports.
29 - year - old Martins has also been linked with a winter move to Galatasaray S.K, but the Turkish powerhouse have not made an official approach to Seattle Sounders.
