Ethiopia Coach Sewnet Bishaw Confident Of Victory
Published: November 14, 2013Ethiopia coach Sewnet Bishaw is confident that his team will defeat the Super Eagles on Saturday and qualify for the World Cup finals in Brazil next summer.
To get to the play - off round, the Walya Antelopes bettered the points haul amassed by South Africa, Central African Republic and Botswana in Group A of the second qualifying round.
Speaking to the official website of Fifa, Bishaw, a Biology teacher said : “Definitely, yes. The principle of the game is to win. We have seen the Nigerians, and the goals we gave away came from our own mistakes.
“We will try to correct those and face them in their country, and we hope to qualify there.”
On the pitch, Ethiopia have not their last four World Cup qualification matches played outside Addis Ababa.
Recall that they defeated Botswana in June, but the game’s governing body, Fifa docked them points for fielding an ineligible player.
