AC Milan Starlet Favour Aniekan Showers Praises On Golden Eaglets
Published: November 09, 2013AC Milan youngster Favour Aniekan is among those singing the praises of the Golden Eaglets, who lifted the Fifa Under 17 World Cup for a record fourth time on Friday evening.
“They did very well at the tournament. I was very happy when the team won the final.
“It was difficult watching the matches here in Italy because the games coincided with some of my training sessions,” Aneikan told allnigeriasoccer.com in a telephone conversation.
The 19 - year - old attacking midfielder also showered praises on Kelechi Iheanacho, who was named the most outstanding player of the Fifa Under 17s.
“For me, I will pick the number 10 as the best Golden Eaglets player. Kelechi is a very technical player and he has the spirit to score goals.
“But the whole team impressed me, they knew how to run with the ball and had that zeal to win matches,”the former Flying Sport Academy, Lagos star added.
Favour Aniekan describes himself as a midfielder that is calm with the ball and a good dribbler who loves to create chances for the attackers to utilize.
He is on a monthly salary of 2,000 euros at the Red and Blacks and his contract will expire in June 2017.
