Chibuzor Okonkwo Enjoying New Lease Of Life In Libya
Published: November 06, 2013Nigeria international Chibuzor Okonkwo is enjoying a new lease of life since he put pen - to - paper on a season - long loan deal with Libyan club Asswehly SC.
The Beijing Olympics silver medalist has been converted from a right back to a traditional number 10 by the Asswehly manager.
And he has felt revitalized in his new position, netting 2 free-kick goals in the championship.
Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com, one of Okonkwo’s representative who does not want his name in print said: “The club and the fans adore him.
“He can play anywhere in midfield and defense, even in attack. The only position he has not played is goalkeeper.
“Chibuzor is an asset to any team as he can help a coach change tactics in the middle of a game without making a substitution.”
Chibuzor Okonkwo will earn $70,000 as wages from the deal he signed with Asswehly SC.
