Sweden Players Talk Tough Ahead Showdown With Golden Eaglets
Published: November 05, 2013Midfielder Mirza Halvadzic believes Sweden can qualify for the final match of the Fifa Under 17s at the expense of Nigeria.
“We got far in order to win. Not to make a good match and applaud the fact that Nigeria is a good team.
“We want to win and are just one game from the final.
“They’re probably still shaky after our meeting. They have problems with us and do not really know how to play against us,” Mirza Halvadzic was quoted as saying by Expressen.
Center back Linus Wahlqvist is confident that the Swedish defense can survive the onslaught of the Golden Eaglets strikers.
“Their offense is really good. They are top class in the headlines. But our defensive is really good too.
“Since we are the only team to have played a draw with them, it has made them respect us,” said the IFK Norrköping youngster.
