Investigation: BBC Journalist Oluwashina Okeleji Involved In Players Sale, Blackmail
Published: October 27, 2013BBC Journalist Oluwashina Okeleji, allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report, is an unauthorized agent involved in the sale of Nigerian players to Europe, mainly Germany.
And this affects the credibility of the stories being published by the top-class media broadcaster.
Back in 2009, Oluwashina Okeleji, who works and scouts for Sascha Gunter, blackmailed deceased Nigeria international Adefemi Olubayo on the website of his employer after the midfielder fell out with his German agent.
Both Adefemi and Gunter parted company, and the player later died in Greece in a car crash on his way to Nigeria for the wedding of his fiancee.
But it is not only Adefemi, who swore before before he passed on never to forgive Oluwashina Okeleji, that the crook broadcaster is linked with.
Okeleji, who was dismissed from South African website KickOff after an altercation with Samm Audu, now with MTNFootball, was involved in the sale of Anthony Ujah to Mainz.
He collaborated with two German brothers Benzemer to consummate the transfer of the former Lillestrom hero.
Oluwashina Okeleji was also involved in the sale of Obafemi Martins to Wolfsburg after a chance meeting with the attacker in the airport.
It is understood the controversial journalist made the sum of 60,000 euros from Martins sale. He also proposed Nigeria internationals Sunday Mba and John Ugochukwu Ogu to Danish club OB Odense but the transfer failed to materialize.
