Nosa Igibeor Suffers Cut On Right Palm
Published: October 14, 2013Real Betis midfielder Nosa Igiebor suffered a cut on his right palm after Nigeria’s 2 - 1 victory over Ethiopia on Sunday.
The off the field incident occurred when supporters of the Wayla Antelopes stoned the Eagles team bus as it was leaving the Addis Ababa stadium.
The impact of one of the stones smashed the rear window of the bus and Nosa Igiebor was hit.
It caused a cut to Nosa’s right palm which resulted in heavy bleeding and he was quickly attended to by Ibrahim Gyaran, the team doctor of the Super Eagles.
Afterwards, the Nigeria Federation reported the incident to the Fifa Security Team as well as Ethiopian Police.
Nosa Igiebor was a second half substitute against Ethiopia, replacing the ineffective Nnamdi Oduamadi in the 66th minute.
