Exclusive: Beveren New Boy Mbah Snubbed Offers From Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Haifa
Published: July 08, 2013New Waasland-Beveren recruit Chimezie Mbah claims he rejected offers from clubs in Israel before deciding to pitch his tent with the Belgium Pro League side.
''I had concrete proposals from Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona. But my agent Dudu Dahan wanted me to leave Israel to join Beveren.
''I am delighted with the move to Beveren and plan to use the club as a stepping stone to a bigger team in Europe,'' Mbah told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Mbah has contractual obligations with Waasland-Beveren until the end of the 2014 - 2015 season.
He has been handed the number 20 jersey for the upcoming season.
