Ex Hibernians Midfielder Essien Mbong Passes Away At 37

Former Hibernians, Malta midfielder Essien Mbong has died in Nigeria, aged 37, sportinmalta.com is reporting.
His death was announced by his Nigerian friends in Malta.
During his successful spell with Hibernians, Mbong was regarded as one of the successful midfielders to grace the Premier League.
His Nigerian friends in Malta are trying to organize a mass in Paola in the coming days.
Joseph Mbong, the eldest son of the ex Julius Berger ace, plays for the Malta Under 17 National Team.
Last Friday, he was on target in the 4 - 0 victory over Northern Ireland Under 15 school squad in an exhibition match.
Essien Mbong had spells with Hibernians, Marsa and Tarxien Rainbows.
