Stephen Keshi Disappointed With Scoreline
Published: June 24, 2013At a press conference shortly after Nigeria crashed out of the Fifa Confederations Cup, losing 3 - 0 to group winners Spain, coach Stephen Keshi reckons that the scoreline was not a true reflection of the performance of his charges.
Without the Eagles talisman in attack, Emmanuel Emenike, who pulled out of the tournament citing fitness concerns, the strikers struggled to convert several scoring opportunities against the World Champions.
''There is much anxiety in front of goal. Created, but not finished. We have to improve on it. I hope it happens quickly.
''If you look at the score, it has to do with the game. Plus it's football, it happens.
''We are in a learning process. We keep moving forward with the lesson,'' said Keshi.
Nigeria finished third in Group B, three points ahead of Tahiti, who lost all their group matches.
