Peter Suswam Keeps Vitoria Setubal Waiting
Published: May 28, 2013The future of Nigeria international Peter Suswam at Primeira Liga side Vitória Setúbal remains unresolved.
According to Portugal's celebrated sports daily A Bola, the leadership of Vitória Setúbal has proposed a new contract to the 21 - year - old right back, who becomes a free agent in June, 2013.
Suswam has fallen way down the pecking order of defenders at Setubal. In fact this past season, he only played a game in the Portuguese top flight.
With manager José Mota confirming that he will handle the club next season, the ex Lobi Star will only put pen to paper on a new contract if he is guaranteed match time.
In addition, Angola international right back Lunguinha, a summer arrival, will compete with Suswam for a starting spot should the Nigerian decide to extend his stay.
