Reading's Uche Ikpeazu Nets Fifth Hat - Trick Of The Season
Published: April 13, 2013Reading Under 18s cruised past Chelsea with a 3 - 0 victory on Saturday, thanks to an impressive hat-trick from Nigerian striker Uche Ikpeazu.
In - form Uche Ikpeazu, 18, has notched up five hat - tricks this season in games against Arsenal, Blackburn Rovers, Queens Park Rangers, Everton and Chelsea.
''I am working hard in training and every game, my team mates have been the reason for my run of good form. Without them passing me the ball I won't score!'' Ikpeazu told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Flying Eagles lacked fire - power in attack at the just concluded African Youth Championship.
According to reports, the National Team selectors have beamed their searchlight on foreign professionals, born abroad , but are eligible to represent Nigeria.
''As for Nigeria Under 20s, I have not really thought of it. I am just going to work hard and finish the season strong for Reading and try and win the Barclays Under 18 League.
''But if I was called up it'll be great to represent my country,'' Ikpeazu said.
