Besiktas Working On Deal For Elderson Echiejile
Published: March 17, 2013
Beskitas have beamed their searchlight on Nigeria international Elderson Echiejile as a possible reinforcement in the summer transfer market, according to Portuguese sports daily A Bola.
Echiejile's display for the Nigeria selection at the African Cup of Nations has not gone unnoticed by the Besiktas chiefs. Already, a line of communication has been opened between the Istanbul club and representatives of the former Bendel Insurance wing back.
Based on Echiejile's current contract, he will defend the colors of Sporting Braga until the summer of 2014. Nonetheless, the leadership of the club would be willing to do business with their Turkish counterparts if they meet his valuation thought to be in the region of 4 million euros.
Another candidate to strengthen the team in the summer transfer market is CFR Cluj central midfielder Obiora Nwankwo. At the end of the season, Besiktas plan to start negotiations with his representatives.
