Mainz Manager Happy With Ujah's Progress
Published: March 11, 2013
Mainz manager Christian Heidel has refused to comment on the possibility of Nigerian forward Anthony Ujah remaining at promotion chasing Cologne next season.
22 - year - old Ujah is enjoying a new lease of life at Cologne, after failing to establish himself at top- tier Mainz.
His goals have been doing the talking for him. With 9 goals in 21 matches, the ex Lillestrom star is statistically amongst the top ten strikers in the physically demanding 2 Bundesliga.
''I thought that he could fit FC Cologne. That went great. Ujah has great abilities, but had tactical backlog. His development is great,'' says Heidel to express.de.
Under contract with FC Mainz until June, 2015, Ujah is valued at €1.75 million by transfer market experts.
