Abiola Dauda Delighted With Red Star Belgrade Debut
Abiola Dauda's transfer to traditional Serbian team Red Star Belgrade was probably the biggest move by a Nigerian player in the winter transfer market.

On Saturday, the ex Kalmar striker made his long awaited debut for the 1991 European champions, coming on as a second half substitute in the 3 - 0 win over Novi Pazar.

Dauda has admitted his delight after making his debut for Red Star Belgrade, who occupy the second position in the championship.

''My debut was great. It's nice to get back in action again.. I have waited for a long time to play my first game for the club.

''I wouldn't say I am disappointed not to get on the score-sheet, I played the last 10 minutes of the game. But of course, it would have been nice to score on my debut,'' Dauda told allnigeriasoccer.com.

He added: ''It's 12 more games to play before the end of the league. I hope I can settle well in the team and get some few goals in the race for the title.''

25 - year - old Dauda is under contract with Red Star Belgrade until the summer of 2015.  He will play with the number 9 jersey for the remainder of the season.
