Afcon Final Not Live On Terrestrial Television
Published: February 08, 2013Contrary to earlier reports, the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria, BON, will not air on local television the final match of the African Cup of Nations between the Super Eagles and Stallions.
The Associated Press citing a top official of BON is reporting that the match will not be shown on terrestrial television as an agreement has not been reached with LC2-AFNEX (the holders of the rights).
It means about 160 million Nigerians who are rooting for the Eagles will now have to watch the game at viewing centers across the country.
The final match of the tournament will take place on Sunday starting from 19:00 hours.
