Spartak Moscow Fail To Sanction Emenike's Move To Fenerbahce
Published: December 31, 2012It is becoming more and more likely that Emmanuel Emenike will remain at Spartak Moscow at least until the end of the season in June.
In recent weeks, the Nigeria international had been linked with a return to Fenerbahce. According to Emenike's representative, Rezan Epözdemir, his client agreed in principle to join the Istanbul based club in January but the Russians failed to sanction the move.
''I met with Emenike. He agreed to the terms and conditions of Fenerbahce. However, I met with officials of Spartak Moscow. The Moscow club has no intention of selling the player. He is not allowed to leave the club,'' Rezan Epözdemir was quoted as saying by Fanatik.
Emmanuel Emenike is tied to the colors of The Red and White until the summer of 2016. The German portal transfermarkt.de values him at around €12.5 million.
