Exclusive: Ndubuisi Ezeh Rejects $250,000 Annual Wage Offered By Chinese Club
Published: December 30, 2012A representative of Ndubuisi Ezeh has informed allnigeriasoccer.com that the Ismaily forward missed out on a move to the Chinese Super League.
With the Egyptian League on recess for close to year, Ezeh is becoming impatient and wants to depart Ismaily for a new team. Linked with a plethora of clubs in Sudan, Iraq and Turkey, the most concrete interest was from China. However, the unnamed CSL club failed to meet his financial demands.
''Ndubuisi Ezeh was on the brink of signing for Rizespor in the summer. What they offered him was below what he was getting at Ismaily. The Turkish club were willing to pay him 180,000 euros as annual wage. They even promised him bonuses based on the number of goals he could score at the end of the season. It was after he refused signing for the club that former Enyimba striker Uche Kalu was proposed.
''A top division club in China were also interested in Ezeh. Because of his lack of match practice, they tabled an offer of 250,000 dollars per year, but he refused to sign. If they had offered him double that sum, I am certain he would have accepted to play for them,'' Ezeh's representative told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Ndubuisi Ezeh signed a three - year deal with Ismaily in January 2010. He will pocket the sum of $900,000 as wages during the period. Also, the Egyptian club paid him $150,000 as signing bonus.
