TAYE TAIWO: A Bad Result For Dynamo
Published: November 22, 2012
Taye Taiwo is disappointed that Dynamo Kiev failed to qualify for the knock out rounds of the UEFA Champions League following their 0-2 loss to PSG on Wednesday night.
Nevertheless, the former Lobi Stars wing back is happy that the Ukrainian vice - champions will play in the Europa League.
''A bad result for Dynamo in this match. We are ashamed of such a result. The team tried, and it worked a lot, but not enough goals scored. We all tried and wanted to make our fans happy,'' Taiwo was quoted as saying by championat.com.
Adds Taiwo: ''I understand that all of us would like to see the team play in the next stage of the Champions League, it's still a tournament a higher class than the Europa League. But in every game, no matter what tournament Dynamo play, the team will fight for victory. In the Europa League, too, will fight in every game.''
In conclusion, Taiwo disclosed that reports suggesting that he would return to Milan in the winter transfer market will be settled by both clubs, as he is on loan until May, 2013.
