AHMED MUSA: Not The Easiest Game Of The Season
Published: November 19, 2012
Nigeria international Ahmed Musa, who is in contention for Player of the Month in the Russian Premier League, has commented on the 3 - 0 victory recorded by CSKA Moscow over Amkar Perm in the 16th round of games.
Musa's goal after 73 minutes means he has now scored 8 goals in 15 matches. Only three other players - Kerzhakov (Zenith), Danilo Neco (Alania) and Movsisyan (Krasnodar) - have been more prolific in attack than the ex Kano Pillars ace.
''I am very happy that we managed to win. CSKA is in first place in the standings. And it's always been my dream. Now it can be said to come true. We have not lost, we are in good shape. It was the easiest match in season? No,'' said Musa to Gazeta.ru.
Ivory Coast international Seydou Doumbia is nearing a return to match fitness. In the coming weeks, coach of The Army Men Leonid Slutsky faces a selection headache in deciding the players to lead the front-line.
