YERO BELLO Fined $2,400, Faces Four - Match Ban
Published: November 13, 2012The Disciplinary Committee of Israeli club Bnei Sakhnin has fined Yero Bello following his dismissal last weekend against Beitar Jerusalem, informs sports.walla.co.il.
Bello was dismissed in the 88th minute by referee Daniel Bar Natan, and while approaching the Beitar bench he made an obscene gesture by holding his genitals.
The Nigerian striker has apologized for his misbehavior, claiming that he acted in the heat of the moment. But to prevent further occurrence, the internal disciplinary committee's hammer fell on him. Bello was also told by the committee that if the offense is repeated in the course of the season, he would be fined $15,000.
In addition, Bello could be sanctioned by the Israeli Association when the body meets with representatives of Bnei Sakhnin on Tuesday. A three or four match ban is the likely punishment.
