PRINCEWILL OKACHI Impresses In New Role
Widzew Åódź Nigerian youngster Princewill Okachi originally joined the Polish club, which once paraded Ugo Ukah, as a striker.

This season, he has been converted to a central midfielder by coach Radosaw Mroczkowski. The former FC Ebedei talent has been one of the revelations of the season.

Speaking to widzewiak.pl, the 21 - year - old said: ''I must admit that I am surprised playing as a midfielder. But it is the decision of the coach. It is my job to do what he tells me to . If the coach moves me to defense, I'll play there too. It really makes me happy if my contribution to a game is positively evaluated.''

With ten games under his belt this campaign, Okachi has continued to churn out brilliant performances, coupled with maturity, in his new role as a central midfielder.

''I have not played central midfield before. I've always been a striker. But slowly getting used to a new role on the pitch and I feel it's getting better. I think it's a good position for me,'' adds Okachi.

Okachi has scored 2 goals in 25 appearances for  Widzew Åódź since his arrival from Maltese club Dingli Swallows F.C in July 2011.
