Esan United Look For Foreign Partnership
Published: October 21, 2012The management of Edo State clubside Esan Utd FC are making plans to collaborate with clubs outside Nigeria inorder to create a channel through which they can export their players to greener pastures outside the country.
Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com, the club propreitor Chief Brown Ebewele revealed this, stating that the club has been actively involved in the grassroots scene in Edo State and has picked up a lot of talented youngsters in this processs and is thus looking to export these youngsters abroad inorder to assist them develop as footballers and also improve their families through resources earned from the game.
"Ever since my days as a Commissioner for Sports in Edo State I have done so much to develop and export talent from Edo State to the rest of the world. Now that I am no longer a commissioner I can only continue to do this in my own little way through Esan Utd FC.
Even though we no longer compete in the National League, we have been very active here in Edo State and thats the way we aim to be for sometime but whenever we feel the time is right to return to the national scene then we will, " concluded Hon. Ebewele.
Esan United FC was first known as Flash Flamingoes of Benin before it became Bendel United and became Esan United FC when the Uromi born veterean sports administrator took it over.
