Man Arrested For Racially Abusing AMEOBI

A 43-year old man has been arrested for a racist comment he posted to Shola Ameobi’s Facebook page.
The man from Washington, Tyne and Wear, was arrested by Northumbria Police on suspicion of racial harassment and has been bailed until November 28.
The comment came in the lead-up to the weekend’s Tyne-Wear derby between Newcastle and arch rivals Sunderland – a fixture that Ameobi has performed well in in recent years by scoring five times in the past six meetings.
It is the second time the 31-year old striker has been racially abused on Facebook following a complaint he made to police in February.
