Nigeria's Under 17 Women's Team nicknamed the Flamingoes crushed host Azerbaijan 11 - 0 in their second group match at the ongoing Fifa Under 17 World Cup.

Head Coach of Nigeria, Peter Dedevbo before the game had predicted that his girls will win by a healthy scoreline, and the team did not disappoint him.
Speaking in his post match comments to the Press, Dedevbo said: ''After the draw with Canada, we wanted to win and show our intentions in the tournament. Azerbaijan has a young team. I hope that in the next two years it will play better. Given that the team is very young, the result is quite understandable. This team still needs time. We want to win every game. But we will not run away. Each game we have a different approach.''
In the other Group A game Canada all but guaranteed their place in the knock out rounds after defeating Colombia by the slimmest of margins 1- 0. Nigeria will play the South Americans in the final group game on September 29.
