ODUAMADI Shifts To Swimming, Bicycles
The recovery programme of injured Super Eagles attacker, Nnamdi Oduamadi (Robinho) will take a new turn next week, as the Varese of Italy youngster is expected to commence periods of swimming and riding bicycles as part of his rehabilitation after surgery.

On line to allnigeriasoccer.com at the weekend, the recuperating Oduamadi, who is again on loan from AC Milan to his present club, Varese, disclosed that he will have to swim and bike for two weeks before the doctors tell him the next stage of the process.

"I was hoping that I would be able to start kicking football and do some running this month, but I have now been told that I ill have to swim and ride bicycles for two weeks as the next step in my recovery programme," said the skilful lad, who was also on loan to AS Torino last term.

Although he assisted to a certain extent in ensuring promotion for the Turin-based side, they could not reach an agreement with Milan on an extension and Oduamadi had to head to Varese instead, but his take-off with the new side has been delayed by injury.

However, the product of Lagos-based Dama Boys, Idowu Soccer Star and Flying Sport Academy is taking his situation in good fate, with a strong believe that he will bounce back better.

"After two weeks of swimming and riding bicycles, I will start running and then move to the next stage," said the Imo State-born player, who shot to prominence during the 2007 African U-17 Championship qualifiers with the Golden Eaglets, under late Coach Yemi Tella.

"The doctors said I could be out for the rest of the year, but I am believing God to make my recovery faster," enthused the lanky lad who is fondly called 'Odu' in Italian football circles.
