Parma Eye Nigerian Youngster IFEANYI IGWENJOKU
Published: September 02, 2012Nigerian youngster and former Anambra Pillars forward Ifeanyi Eleguba Igwenjoku has a lot to celebrate after a fine season for Omani second division club Sur Sports.
On the back of a successful season with Sur Sports, the 20 - year -old, who netted 27 goals in 44 matches in all competitions, has revealed that he is wanted by teams in Italy and Spain.
''I only signed a six - month contract with Sur Sports. At the end of the season they were interested in extending my stay, but my dream is to play in Europe, so I rejected the proposal.
''My Italian agent, Giacomo Luisi has told me he is working on deals with clubs in Italy and Spain. There is an opening for me to test with Parma, Italy. As soon I sort out my visa, I shall travel to Italy,'' Igwenjoku, who has trained with the Nigeria Under 17s, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Ifeanyi Igwenjoku earned 6,000 dollars a month at Sur Sports. He was on the wishlist of Al Hilal in the summer transfer market. The deal did not materialize because the Sudanese club could not meet the player's wage demands of 30,000 dollars a month.
