EDDY ONAZI Impressive For Lazio In Europa League
Published: August 23, 2012
Nigerian youngster Eddy Onazi played his second official game for Italian club Lazio in the Europa League match against Mura 05 on Thursday evening.
The 20 - year - old profited from the absence of Lorik Cana in midfield. Onazi was impressive in The Biancocelesti's 2-0 away victory over the team from Slovenia but was cautioned two minutes to the end of the encounter by match referee Mark Courtney.
Recall that Onazi made his debut for Lazio last season, coming off the bench against Atalanta in May.
Lalaziosiamonoi.it rated the Nigerian midfielder 6.5. Only two players, goalscorers Klose and Hernanes , were rated higher than Eddy Onazi in the ratings by the authoritative Italian website.
''Yet another good test for the Nigerian from the youth team of Biancoceleste. He shows personality despite his young age, he showed so much in defensive and offensive positions,'' the editors of Lalaziosiamonoi.it said on Onazi.
