The ex-international made the call during a facilities inspection tour he made with his All Stars FC crew to the FPISA camp where he described the programmes and facilities of the football school as par with European standard.
Lawal however, tasked NFF to identify few authentic and standard soccer academies such as FPISA and partner them with a view of encouraging them build a solid foundation for grassroots football development.
“I’m happy to see this sited in my domain here in Ibadan, it’s only this kind of gesture that can save our football which is on the brink of collapse. I must appreciate this good gesture of Prince Oluwole Ololade for investing hugely into our grassroots football, what I have seen here are what is obtainable in standard soccer academy I have visited in Europe”, Lawal
noted.
The Under-17 hero visited the academy camp in company of members of his All Stars crew which includes Edith Agoye, Tony Alegbe, Femi Emmanuel and other many Ibadan based notable footballers.
FPISA selected team defeated All Stars 3-1 earlier in a build-up match organized in preparation for their UK playing tour.
