IDEYE: My Family And I Respect ANDREI SHEVCHENKO Very Much
Published: August 06, 2012Dynamo Kiev Nigerian attacker Brown Ideye, interviewed by Ukrainian journalists, has answered questions why he named his second son after the Ukrainian legend and ex teammate Andrei Shevchenko.
Ideye told gazeta.ua : '' My family and I respect him very much. I am glad that we managed to play together as a team. He is a very nice guy. I learned many things on the field thanks to Sheva.
''Ukraine has made me what I am now. I talked with my wife and she agreed. Name Andrew - a tribute to the country in which we live. Our son - this is our blessing. "
Dynamo Kiev squad left for Rotterdam on Sunday for the second leg of their Champions League tie with Feyenoord on Wednesday. Ideye did not travel with the rest of the players nominated for the trip because he had a problem with his documents.
