UCHE NWOFOR: I Have No Plans To Leave VVV Venlo
Published: July 26, 2012
In the latest exhibition game played as past of their preparations for the resumption of the new season, Dutch club VVV Venlo defeated fifth - tier side DEV Arcen by 16-0.
The Nigerian striker Uche Nwofor notched a hat-trick for VVV Venlo. It should be noted that Nwofor's three strikes came in the first half.
Speaking to allnigeriasoccer.com, Nwofor said: ''This game was just a preparation game, just to bring confidence to the team for the task ahead. DEV Arcen is not a strong opposition.
''So far, our preparations are going on smoothly, but some players are still recovering from injury.''
Earlier linked with a departure from VVV Venlo in the summer transfer market, Nwofor has pledged his loyalty to his current employer, saying he will remain with the Pride of the South when the window is shut by the end of August.
''I have no plans to leave VVV Venlo this summer. I want to establish myself in the first team, and everything other thing will follow,'' said Nwofor.
Uche Nwofor, 20, is under contract with VVV Venlo until June 30, 2014.
