Udinese Are Evaluating ODION IGHALO - Sporting Director
Published: July 17, 2012The future of Odion Ighalo is far from being resolved, reports in Italy and Spain have suggested.
Ighalo is under contract with Udinese for the next two seasons, but the Zebras have sent the young Nigerian striker on loan to Granada for the past three seasons to enable him play on a continuous basis.
Speaking to Channel Udinese, the sporting director of the club said: ''Ighalo? He's a player in this squad that we decided to evaluate him carefully, Guidolin and his coaching staff do not know the player and this is a chance to evaluate him.
''He showed his offensive qualities in Granada, we evaluate him first before we sell him elsewhere, might be a player that meets your needs.''
Negotiations between Udinese and Granada for Ighalo did not yield fruitful results, as both teams could not agree terms, which made the Nigerian very sad.
Odion Ighalo, who earned less than 200,000 euros a year at Granada, had previously told allnigeriasoccer.com that clubs in Russia, Germany, France and Spain are monitoring his situation with intentions of signing him before the close of the transfer market.
