Published: May 30, 2012
As first revealed by allnigeriasoccer.com that John Chibuke was scheduled to undergo surgery for a hernia injury, the 23-year-old last Friday had an operation in Germany.
Assuming there are no complications, the former Enugu Ranger will be available for selection for the friendly against IFK Gothenburg in two weeks time.
''Follow the normal routine, he (John Chibuike,ed) is back in normal training after a couple of weeks, so basically he is ready to train,'' Haakon Schwabe, medical officer of RBK, was quoted as saying by Norwegian daily, Aftenposten.
So far, Chibuike has started only six games this season. He is expected to travel to Sweden today for a short vacation.
