JOSEPH AKPALA Claims No Contact From England
Published: May 26, 2012Club Brugge forward Joseph Akpala in recent days has been linked with a summer switch to clubs in the United Kingdom. West Ham, West Brom and Celtic are reportedly interested in the Nigeria international.
Akpala has told Sky Sports that there is no official contact yet from any team in England. But he is flattered to be linked with clubs in the Premier League.
''I would love to play in the Premier League one day and score goals there week in, week out. I am happy to be linked with clubs in the Premier League, but nothing has been discussed as yet.
"Brugges want to keep me and I have a contract with them. We will have to see what happens.West Ham are a London club and I like London, so you never know,'' says Akpala to Sky Sports.
Akpala has one year left before the expiration of his contract with Belgium vice champions, Club Brugge.
