Confirmed - JOSEPH YOBO Out For Four Weeks
Published: May 21, 2012Nigeria skipper Joseph Yobo has been ruled out of action for at least four weeks following the injury he picked up in Fenerbahçe 's cup triumph over Bursaspor last Wednesday.
Consequently, the 31-year-old's name has been deleted from the players called up by National Team boss Stephen Keshi for June's World Cup and African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Namibia, Malawi and Rwanda between June 3 - 17.
The future of Joseph Yobo at Turkey's vice champions Fenerbahçe is still covered in mist. Everton, Yobo's primary club, have placed a bounty of between 3 - 4 million pounds on his head.
Aykut Kocaman, coach of Fenerbahçe, had planned to start early preparations for next season's UEFA Champions League. Now, due to Yobo's transfer situation and injury, Kocaman must start pre-season without one of his dependable players.
