CARLTON COLE Delighted With Hammers Promotion
Published: May 20, 2012Anglo-Nigerian forward Carlton Cole has spoken on his happiness of helping West Ham back to the Premier League. Cole's goal had put West Ham in front only for Tom Ince to equalize for Blackpool.
''I'll take a goal and an assist!There was a bit of pressure on me in this league because everyone thought I'd walk it in this league but it's not been easy - it's been a hard league.
"It's credit to English football because the difference between the top tier and the second tier, there is not a lot in it. We had a hard season but it's all been worth it now. Everybody has worked so hard and we got the job done today(Saturday, ed),'' the 28-year-old forward told the official website, whufc.com.
Cole was West Ham's highest goal scorer in the Championship, netting 15 goals in 43 matches.
