Eskisehirspor, Besiktas and Trabzonspor In Three Way Battle For MICHAEL ENERAMO
Published: May 16, 2012
Eskiehirspor are the latest team to be interested in the hot-in-demand Nigerian forward Michael Eneramo according to media reports in Turkey.
Before Eneramo had surgery on Monday, there was contact between the striker and the Chairman of the Red Lightnings, Halil ünal.
The 27-year-old, who is also being tracked by Besiktas, Trabzonspor and an unnamed French club, refused extending his stay with Sivasspor when his contract expired at the end of the season, citing the need for fresh challenges.
Moreover, Eneramo has a desire to play in a European competition next campaign to attract the National Team handlers. The former Esperance skipper has been overlooked for selection first by Samson Siasia, and now Stephen Keshi.
''I do not want to leave Turkey. I want to be invited to the National Team, and so it's important for me to play in the European stage. Ertan Menacerim Göksu (Eneramo's agent, ed) is conducting transfer negotiations. I hope it's concluded in a short time,'' Eneramo was quoted as saying by Turkish sports daily, Fanatik.
Michael Eneramo netted 15 goals this past season, 11 in the league, and 4 in the play-offs.
