Exclusive: ABIOLA DAUDA: No Contact With Mjallby
Published: May 16, 2012
24-year-old Sweden based forward Abiola Dauda had previously been linked with top flight club Mjällby AIF .
Dauda becomes a free agent in the next seven months. Talks between Dauda and Kalmar on a new contract have not started, and he could leave for nothing should he fail to extend his deal.
''There has been no negotiations with the management of Kalmar concerning a new contract at the moment. The interest from Mjällby AIF ?........I only read about that in the papers. I haven't heard anything from Mjällby AIF. I won't allow my contract situation to bother me. For now, I am just focusing on doing well this season,'' says Dauda to allnigeriasoccer.com.
With five goals in his last six games in the Allsvenskan, Dauda has accounted for half of the goals scored this term by the 2008 champions. He has revealed the secret behind his new found form in front of goal.
''I would say hard-work is the secret behind my success. And I have remained injury free compared to last year. Like I said before, I am looking forward to doing well for Kalmar. From there, we'll see what happens,'' said Dauda.
