Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta ran the rule over three talented youngsters of Nigerian descent during his side's final training session before the trip to Eindhoven for the UEFA Champions League round of 16, first leg encounter against PSV, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri, defensive midfielder Ifeoluwa Ibrahim and forward Nathan Butler-Oyedeji all participated in Monday's training session held at Sobha Realty Training Centre in London Colney.
While Nwaneri and Butler-Oyedeji have been named in squads for Champions League games, U18 starlet Ibrahim has yet to receive a call-up for a first team game.
Ibrahim was promoted to first team training three days after his outstanding performance against Manchester United in the FA Youth Cup.
Ibrahim is a versatile player who can operate at centre-back or right-back, with excellent composure in possession across different roles on the pitch.
The 17-year-old joined Arsenal in 2016 following a successful trial and made his competitive debut for the U18 team whilst still a schoolboy.
Meanwhile, it is all but confirmed that Nwaneri will be included in the matchday squad tomorrow night at
Philips Stadion as he was among the Arsenal players spotted at the Luton Airport before the flight to the Netherlands.
