Victor Boniface, the Nigerian striker who has been turning heads in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, was in attendance at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium as Barcelona defeated Sevilla 4-1 in a La Liga match on Sunday, February 9, 2025, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Boniface, who has long harbored dreams of playing in La Liga, was accompanied by his agent Atta Aneke and his Nigerian representative, Udia Attai.
The trio's visit to the stadium was not just for Boniface to watch the game, but to show support for two fellow Nigerians — Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams.
Ejuke, currently playing for Sevilla, was introduced in the second half and put in a solid performance, while Adams, unfortunately, was not included in the matchday squad due to injury.
Boniface, who has previously expressed his admiration for Spanish football, particularly La Liga, seized the opportunity to witness the action at one of Spain's most iconic stadiums.
While Boniface’s focus remained on supporting his fellow Nigerians, his passion for La Liga was evident as he soaked in the atmosphere of the match.
Although Boniface has enjoyed a stellar start to his career at Bayer Leverkusen, his dreams of playing in Spain’s top flight remain strong.
His attendance at the match highlighted his admiration for the league, further intensifying the speculation that he could be on the radar of Spanish clubs in the future.
