No rush to leave Leverkusen: Boniface not in talks with Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Spurs or Man Utd

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Victor Boniface will not be leaving Bayer Leverkusen in the winter market amid rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League before the close of the January transfer window.

It has been suggested that Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign the Nigeria international after a proposed move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr fell through this week.

However, he is not currently in negotiations with any of the Premier League clubs mentioned.

Since Boniface was only just recovering from injury, Al-Nassr opted against taking a risk and instead turned their attention to young Colombian striker Jhon Duran, who is close to completing his move to the Riyadh-based club.

The Super Eagles star was open to joining Al-Nassr, with Bayer Leverkusen accepting the offer but Al-Nassr eventually pulled the plug on the deal.

Suggestions that Boniface has been offered to Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United by intermediaries are wide of the mark.

The 24-year-old is in no rush to leave Bayer Leverkusen and has assured that he will complete the season with the reigning Bundesliga champions.

In November 2024, he suffered a thigh muscle injury while on international duty with the Super Eagles, sidelining him for the rest of the year.

A minor setback in his recovery then delayed his expected return at the start of 2025.

He has returned to full training and was named in the squads for the trips to RB Leipzig and Atlético Madrid, but was not called up for Bayer Leverkusen's latest match against Sparta Prague because a transfer was on the cards.

Boniface has tallied 40 goal involvements (29 goals, 11 assists) since landing at Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2023 and will reach a milestone of 50 appearances for the club if he plays against TSG Hoffenheim on Sunday.
