'I think I'm fine' - Osimhen declares himself fit for Galatasaray's match against Trabzonspor
Published: December 15, 2024
Victor Osimhen has declared himself fit ahead of Galatasaray's Trendyol Süper Lig encounter with Trabzonspor at RAMS Park on Monday.
The Napoli-owned striker got injured in the Lion’s 3-2 over Sivasspor last weekend and missed the UEFA Europa League clash with Malmö on Thursday as a result.
Osimhen has been fit for most games this season, missing only two matches for Galatasaray prior to his latest injury.
The 25-year-old has been in top-notch form and has demonstrated his all-round abilities for the club.
He has 10 goals and five assists in 13 games and his absence for a long period could derail their campaign.
He has been leading the attack since the injury to Mauro Icardi who is set to be sidelined for several months as Okan Buruk has little faith in Michy Batshuayi.
The Belgian forward failed to impress when he was handed a start against Malmö.
Speaking to Beyaz TV via Ajannspor, Osimhen was asked if he would be available for tomorrow's game.
He stated that he was fit but he is unsure of participating in the game.
"I think I'm fine, but I don't know. It will be a difficult match, but we are ready to give everything for the victory. We are ready to give everything to win this season."
He also urged Galatasaray fans to keep supporting the club.
"They should continue to support us. We are grateful for the support they have given us so far. We are ready to give everything to win this season."
Osimhen is a fan favourite and the Galatasaray fans will be hoping to see him back in action as soon as possible.
