'Osimhen needs to be banned' -Ex-Besiktas striker reckons Galatasaray star is too good for Super Lig

Former Beşiktaş striker Batuhan Karadeniz has made a stunning remark about Victor Osimhen following his performance in the Istanbul derby yesterday.

The retired Turkey international reckons the Super Eagles striker has made the Süper Lig less competitive, after scoring another goal to help Galatasaray beat Beşiktaş at the RAMS Park.

Galatasaray have won the Süper Lig in the last two seasons, and the addition of the 25-year-old has made them a more formidable opponent.

They have last season's top scorer, Mauro Icardi, and one of the best goalkeepers in the league, Fernando Muslera, among other key players in the championship in their ranks, and the arrival of Osimhen seems to be keeping them further ahead of the lot.

With just 10 games into the season, they sit comfortably atop the standings, six points ahead of their closest challengers, Samsunspor, eight ahead of last season's runner-up, Fenerbahçe,and local rivals Beşiktaş, both of whom have a game in hand.

Speaking after the Istanbul derby, Karadeniz detailed how well Osimhen has performed and stated that his showings for Galatasaray have made the Turkish top-flight less competitive.

In quotes relayed by SuperHaber, he said: "Victor Osimhen, since the d, I have never seen such a playeray he arrived, comes out and tears himself apart when he scores a goal. He never reversed his movements when he stepped left and right. Run to that defender, run to that defender. Well done to you!

"So many big world stars will come to a league like ours and I will get tired watching… This is what you call a football player, he gives full value for the money he gets.

"They hired a guy named Victor Osimhen, can a center forward kick the ball in every position? This is cheating, close this. Osimhen needs to be banned from the Super League, cancel his character. Unfair competition, this guy!

"He comes to his own penalty area for the corner, kicks the ball. He goes to the opponent's penalty area, gets into a goal position. He turns and gets the ball in the midfield, and is in the counter-attack again.

"What kind of a player is this, I have never seen such a player! Send him back, whoever is taking him, Osimhen has become a scourge to the Super League"

The Napoli loanee has scored or assisted in every game that he has played in the Süper Lig, netting in the last three games and providing an assist in his first two games.
