Boniface shows up at Bayer Leverkusen after car accident that caused damages worth N355m

Victor Boniface was at Bayer Leverkusen's facility on Monday morning, but the center forward was not involved in team training, according to reports.
Bayer Leverkusen have started preparations for their Champions League meeting with Stade Brestois 29 on Wednesday, October 23.
The Nigeria national teamer netted the game-winning goal as Bayer Leverkusen registered a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, but cheated death the following day as he was involved in a serious car accident.
According to BILD, Boniface was spotted at the BayArena today and the forward revealed that he was in good condition.
However, the Super Eagles star was treated and cared for following his arrival at Bayer Leverkusen's facility and it is unclear whether he will train on Tuesday and be named in the traveling squad to Guingamp.
It's not surprising that Boniface missed team training on Monday morning, considering he was involved in a serious car accident yesterday.
The Bayer Leverkusen star, who was only a passenger in the Mercedes, was traveling on the A3 near Bad Camberg and Idstein when the car collided with a truck early Sunday morning, shortly after 7 a.m.
The Bundesliga champions confirmed on Sunday that the Nigerian is okay but suffered two minor injuries to his hand.
The serious car accident caused damages worth approximately 200,000 euros (N355 million in Nigerian currency), the German newspaper reported.
It has been a tough week for Boniface, who was part of the Nigeria squad stranded at Libya's Al Abraq Airport for more than 16 hours without access to food or water, before the team decided to return to Abuja following government intervention.
