Nigeria's caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen has announced his starting lineup for Tuesday afternoon's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Rwanda's Wasps at the Stade Amahoro in Kigali.
Eguavoen has made a key call for the matchday two fixture, with Fulham star Alex Iwobi making way for Lazio's box-to-box midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the starting lineup.
The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner has kept faith with all the players that started against Republic of Benin, with the exception of Iwobi, who was positioned in front of the centre-backs last Saturday.
Chippa United glovesman Stanley Nwabali makes his fourteenth consecutive start for the senior national team, and he is protected by a back three of William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey.
Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi had a problem with fatigue against the Cheetahs, leading to his substitution in the 80th minute.
He is now fully recovered and starts in central midfield along with Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, with Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina and Boavista star Bruno Onyemaechi deployed as wing-backs.
Regarding the front three, Eguavoen has stuck to his guns, with Victor Boniface,Samuel Chukwueze and Ademola Lookman named in the starting lineup.
It means Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon, who both impressed off the bench in Uyo, have been named among the substitutes again.
Super Eagles starting lineup against Wasps: Nwabali; Troost-Ekong, Ajayi, Bassey; Aina, Onyemaechi, Ndidi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru; Chukwueze, Lookman, Boniface
Substitutes: Osimhen, Okoye, Simon, Iheanacho, Iwobi, Tanimu, Obasogie, Olisa Ndah, Onyedika, Onyeka, Yusuf, Awoniyi
