Official: Derby County sign Golden Eaglets-eligible player from West Ham
Published: July 15, 2024EFL Championship new boys Derby County have announced the new intake of full-time scholars for the 2024-2025 season.
Twelve players have signed scholarship deals with the Rams, including a Golden Eaglets-eligible player Charles Ebuka Agbawodikeizu, who has joined from West Ham United.
Sean Corry, Braidy Connell-Webster, Rio Canoville, AJ Doyle, Alfie Friars, Khace Gordon, Israel Green, Dantel Hodges, Marley Mintus, Harvey Rees and James Ward have also put pen to paper on scholarship deals.
In the forthcoming season, Ebuka will be aiming to make his debut in the U18 Premier League North.
The new players were welcomed to the club at the new scholars' induction evening at Pride Park Stadium towards the end of June.
In an induction ceremony staged in the Toyota Suite, Ebuka's family was in attendance and witnessed him sign on the dotted line.
Ebuka revealed that he joined Derby County because he saw it as an opportunity to make his first team debut in the coming years and has vowed to work his hardest in the upcoming season.
Derby County have also confirmed that Nigerian attacker Justin Oguntolu has entered the second year of his scholarship with the club,
